Several wildfires near Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan causing poor air quality


Air quality statements continue through west-central Manitoba and east-central Saskatchewan in relation to several wildfires near Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan.


Easterly winds are pushing the smoke to the Northern Grainbelt.


Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency is responding to multiple fires north of Hudson Bay.


Crews are being aided by heavy equipment, helicopter support, and an air tanker.


The fire is 45,374 hectares in size.


Hudson Bay has a population of 1,504.


Smoky conditions are expected to improve later this week.
