Severe storms cause damage in Southern Ontario


On Wednesday a line of thunderstorms moved through southern Ontario.


The storms brought tree and property damage and power outages.


The system also provided southern Ontario with heavy rainfall amounts.


Strong winds were recorded in several locations. Harrow recorded a wind gust of 91 km/h, Windsor International Airport had a gust of 87 km/h, and Chatham Kent Airport had a gust of 85 km/h.

  • Kingston Climate 45.5 mm

  • Hamilton Royal Botanical Gardens 42.6 mm

  • Pelee Island 86.9 mm

  • Dunnville 57.8 mm

  • Fisherville 56.9 mm

  • Temiskaming Shores 51.8 mm

  • Lakeside 50.3 mm

  • St Marys 49.0 mm

  • Vankleek Hill 43.2 mm

  • Burlington 41.9 mm

  • Caledonia 41.7 mm

  • Langton 41.4 mm

  • Courtland 40.6 mm


Trees and property damage were reported in Harrow, Kingsville and Port Burwell and Power Outages were reported in Harrow and Kingsville.
