Severe thunderstorms across U.S. South

Severe thunderstorms are expected today and tonight near the middle and upper Texas Coast, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the western Florida Panhandle.

These storms will be capable of producing strong tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds.

The Texas Coast is the area seeing severe storms today. Tornado warnings have already been issued for portions of Texas.

The threat shifts to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the western Florida Panhandle tonight.

Flash flooding is possible across portions of the Gulf Coast states and Lower Mississippi Valley today through early Wednesday.
