Severe thunderstorms and tornado threat across Southern Ontario
Severe thunderstorms are expected ahead of a cold front across portions of Southern Ontario.
Storms will begin this afternoon across southwestern Ontario and will reach the GTA overnight.
The greatest potential for severe weather will be in the southwestern sections of the province.
The main threats are wind gusts to 90 km/h, up to 50 mm of rain, isolated hail, and the potential for tornadoes.
There is also a risk of non-severe thunderstorms in Northern Ontario today.
