Significant Flooding Possible Along Great Lakes

This summer there could be record-breaking water levels along the Great Lakes.

Along the shoreline of Lake Ontario, northwestern Ohio and southeastern Michigan there is either a risk of flooding, or flooding has already occurred.

The recent spring rains have done nothing to ease flooding concerns.

New York state has erected 800,000 sandbags, water pumps, and 920 feet of temporary dams.

The Toronto Region Conservation Authority has issued a shoreline hazard warning until further notice.

The Toronto Islands experienced significant flooding that devastated the area back in 2017.
