Significant snow squalls expected across Southern Ontario

Tonight and Monday, significant snow is expected across portions of southern Ontario.
Areas southeast of Lake Huron will see lake effect snow squalls overnight and Monday, with amounts of 20 to 40 cm possible, accompanied by strong wind gusts up to 70 km/h, resulting in whiteout conditions.
Areas southeast of Georgian Bay can expect snow squalls overnight and on Monday, with 10 to 20 cm of snow expected, combined with wind gusts of up to 70 km/h, resulting in whiteout conditions.
For areas further inland southeast of Georgian Bay, 5 to 10 cm of snow is possible, and in this area, winds will also gust to 70 km/h overnight into Monday afternoon.
