Significant storm to impact Manitoba

A storm is expected to impact Manitoba on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

At this time heavy snow, strong winds and blowing snow is possible.

While still a few days away, there is the potential for significant snowfall amounts over southern Manitoba, especially along the international border. Snowfall amounts of 50 cm are not out of the question.

For areas further north of the border such as Winnipeg, snowfall amounts near 30 cm are possible.

Winds are expected to gust between 60 and 80 km/h. The heavy snow combined with strong winds will result in blowing snow giving blizzard conditions.

Keep checking back for updates.
