A significant winter storm could impact Southern Ontario on Monday.
Snow is expected to push across the area from the southeast on Sunday night and continue through Monday. Conditions will improve Monday night.
The heaviest snow will fall across the Niagara Peninsula and through eastern Ontario. In these areas snowfall amounts of 30 to 40 cm is possible.
For the Golden Horseshoe and north to the Peterborough area amounts of 15 to 20 cm is possible.
At the same time, there is the potential for snow squalls to develop southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay on Monday afternoon. From the snow squalls, 10 to 15 cm is possible by Tuesday morning.
Poor driving conditions are likely. Reduced visibility and blowing snow is expected and road closures are possible.
