Six killed in avalanche in Afghanistan

Reports say six people are dead and more than 30 are missing after an avalanche in eastern Afghanistan.

The avalanche tore through the village of Nakre on Sunday night destroying and damaging several homes.

Weather conditions have made it difficult for rescue workers to reach the impacted area.

The country does experience bitterly cold winters.
