Snow Across Newfoundland Today & Another System on the Way

Snow is moving across most of Newfoundland today. It will be heavy at times.

The south coast, most of central and the northern Avalon including the St. John's metro region will see the heaviest snow with 15 to 25 centimetres expected combined with wind gusts to about 60 km/h.

For the west coast, about 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected today and tonight. Travel is not advised on the southwest coast.

Behind this low, there is another system on the way for Monday night. This low will be slow-moving and will linger in some for through Thursday.

Marine Atlantic has advised of potential impacts to ferry crossings from Monday to Thursday.
