Snow and blowing snow expected across northern Ontario

An area of low pressure will bring snow and strong winds to areas north of Lake Superior and northeastern Ontario beginning on Tuesday night and ending Friday afternoon.

For areas north of Lake Superior, snow will start on Tuesday night on continue through Wednesday and also continue on Thursday. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are possible with additional amounts on Thursday.

On Tuesday night, snow is expected to start over parts of northwestern and northeastern Ontario. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible with additional amounts on Thursday.

Snow and blowing snow will continue on Thursday for parts of northeastern and far northeastern Ontario, with an additional 15 to 20 cm possible. Snow will also continue for regions north and northeast of Lake Superior on Thursday, with an additional 10 to 15 cm possible.
