Snow and freezing rain expected across parts of the Prairies



Some snowy weather is on the way to the Prairie provinces.


Snow and freezing rain will push across northern Alberta tonight and Friday morning. Areas such as Peace River and Grande Prairie will likely see rain or freezing rain. Most freezing rain should stay north of Edmonton. The heaviest snow will fall over northern Saskatchewan will 5 to 10 cm of possible by tomorrow night.


On Friday, another low will move south from the Northwest Territories. 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected in southern Saskatchewan and western Manitoba into this weekend. There could be some freezing rain across western Saskatchewan on Friday.
