A low pressure system is expected to bring significant snowfall and reduced visibility to parts of northwestern Ontario beginning late Tuesday night and continuing through Wednesday.

Snowfall totals of 15 to 25 centimetres are possible in some areas, with snow persisting into Thursday morning. Strong wind gusts may also produce localized blowing snow, particularly in exposed areas, further reducing visibility and creating hazardous travel conditions.

In other parts of northwestern Ontario, including areas north of Lake Superior, snowfall amounts are expected to be lower, ranging from 8 to 15 centimetres. Blowing snow is also possible, though impacts are expected to be less severe.

Drivers are advised to prepare for difficult travel conditions, including reduced visibility and the potential for road closures as the system moves through the region.
