Much of southern Ontario and portions of northeastern Ontario are expected to see snow and blowing snow on Wednesday, creating difficult travel conditions and reduced visibility.

A low-pressure system is forecast to bring widespread snowfall of five to 10 centimetres. Higher amounts are expected in some regions due to lake-enhanced snowfall, with up to 20 centimetres possible on the Bruce Peninsula and in areas east of Georgian Bay. Areas northeast of Lake Ontario could receive as much as 15 centimetres.

Meanwhile, areas east of Lake Superior are expected to remain under the influence of snow squalls on Wednesday. Local snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimetres are possible, further contributing to poor visibility and challenging travel conditions.
