Snow expected across Atlantic Canada

Today through tonight, snow is expected across most of the Maritime provinces.

Snow may mix with ice pellets in some areas before changing over to rain later today. Over higher elevations such as the Cape Breton Highlands and Albert Hills in New Brunswick, could see 5 to 10 cm of snow.

Snow will arrive in Newfoundland tonight. For all of Newfoundland, with the exception of the Great Northern Peninsula, snow will be mixed with rain at times. Snowfall amounts will vary based on elevation and areas near the ocean. Amounts of a trace along the coast to 5 cm inland and over higher terrain is anticipated.
