Snow expected across Northern Ontario
Parts of northern Ontario that the potential to see some significant amounts of snow on Friday.
Northwestern and far northern Ontario will see snow begin on Thursday night and last through Friday. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are possible by Friday evening.
Areas north of Lake Superior will likely see mixed precipitation. Snow or freezing drizzle will begin late Thursday night into early Friday morning and transition to freezing rain through Friday morning. The freezing rain is expected to change to snow on Friday afternoon. Total ice accretion of 2 to 5 millimetres is expected at this time along with 2 to 5 centimetres of snow.
Portions of northwestern and far northern Ontario will see snow start on Thursday night with 5 to 10 cm expected by Friday evening.
