An area of low pressure will move across southern Ontario on Wednesday and Wednesday night, bringing snow to the region.

Portions of southern Ontario, mainly north of Highway 401, will see snow on Wednesday. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected. By Wednesday afternoon, the snow may begin to mix with rain.

Areas from Sarnia to the GTA to Kingston will see the snow start early in the morning on Wednesday. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected before most areas see snow mix with or changeover to rain by the afternoon.

Areas in eastern Ontario will see snow start later in the morning and continue through the evening on Wednesday. Amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected.

This snow has the potential to cause travel disruptions, especially during the morning and afternoon commutes.
