An area of precipitation over the Alberta Foothills will sink south overnight and will bring snow to some areas of the southern Rocky Mountains tonight.

Snowfall amounts will vary based on elevation; however, areas over the extreme southwest near the International Border could see 10 to 15 cm of snow.

Snow will be slow to accumulate as the first bit of snow will likely melt.

Areas such as Calgary and Brooks will remain as rain.
