Some snow is on the way to portions of Newfoundland.
An area of low pressure will push across eastern Newfoundland on Friday night into Saturday. Precipitation will begin as rain but as the low moves through winds will switch to a northerly direction and we will cool down turning precipitation from rain to snow.
There is a special weather statement in effect for:
Avalon Peninsula North
Avalon Peninsula Southeast
Avalon Peninsula Southwest
Clarenville and vicinity
St. John's and vicinity
Snowfall amounts of up to 5 cm are possible.
