Snow will move onto the Avalon Peninsula, parts of the South Coast and parts of Central Newfoundland on Sunday afternoon and will continue through Monday.
There is a special weather statement in effect for Avalon Peninsula North, Avalon Peninsula Southeast, Avalon Peninsula Southwest, and St. John's and vicinity.
Snowfall totals of 10 to 15 cm are expected.
Winds will gust to 60 km/h. These winds will be strong enough to cause some blowing snow.
Additionally, there is a winter storm warning in effect for Northern Peninsula East. Snow and rain will continue until late this afternoon.
