An area of low pressure will bring snow, freezing rain, and strong winds to portions of Southern and Central Ontario this evening and Sunday.

Portions of central and eastern Ontario close to the Ottawa Valley may see freezing rain this evening into early Sunday morning. Ice accretion amounts could possibly be near 5 mm.

Areas southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will see lake effect snow squalls beginning on Sunday afternoon. The snow squalls could continue into Monday morning. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible. Strong wind gusts up to 70 km/h are also expected on Sunday.

Portions of northeastern Ontario east of Lake Superior will also see strong wind gusts up to 70 km/h on Sunday.

Snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm are expected in Quebec for Matagami and the Abitibi region towards Mont-Laurier, Saturday afternoon to Sunday. Laurentians, Lanaudière and Mauricie will see near 15 cm.

Freezing rain is expected around the Montreal area. 2 to 5 millimetres of freezing rain is expected.
