Snow is expected this weekend in northern sections of Ontario. An area of low pressure will push across western Lake superior today and into far northeastern Ontario on Sunday.

Today, snow will begin this afternoon north of Lake Superior. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 centimetres are possible with the heaviest snowfall occurring west and north of Thunder Bay.

On Sunday, 5 to 15 centimetres of snow is likely along the western shores of James Bay.

Some uncertainty remains in the exact track of this system.
