Snow, rain, and strong winds to impact Ontario


An area of low pressure will impact Ontario on Friday and Saturday.


Snow will be an issue across northeastern Ontario. 15 to 25 cm of snow is expected. For areas east of Lake Superior up to 40 cm is possible. Snow in northeastern Ontario will continue into Saturday giving higher totals. Strong winds will result in blowing snow.


Regions near Georgian Bay and eastward through eastern Ontario will see snow with 5 to 15 cm expected. There could be some freezing rain at times. Strong winds will result in blowing snow.


Southwestern Ontario, parts of central Ontario and north of Lake Ontario will mostly see rain and strong winds. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm is expected and winds may gust to 90 km/h.
