Snow squalls expected across Lake Nipigon, Lake Superior, Lake Huron and Georgian Bay

Snow squalls are expected to develop today for areas east and southeast of Lake Nipigon, Lake Superior, Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

Snowfall amounts will vary quite a bit from place to place, however, 5 to 10 cm are possible. Locally, some areas could receive 15 cm.

Winds gusting from 30 to 50 km/h will cause blowing snow.

Snow squalls can develop suddenly and in a localized area. Motorists should pay attention to changing weather conditions. Visibility could be suddenly reduced.
