Snow Squalls Expected Along Lake Huron and Georgian Bay

Snow squalls are expected to develop tonight across western facing shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

Snowfall amounts between 5 and 15 cm are expected from this event.

If snow squalls develop, winds will also be gusty. Gusts up to 60 km/h are possible, especially near Georgian Bay. This will result in blowing snow and reduced visibility.

This is expected to have an impact on travel.

Conditions should improve on Friday afternoon.

There are snow squall watches in effect for:

Barrie - Orillia - Midland

Grey - Bruce

Huron - Perth

London - Middlesex

Sarnia - Lambton
