Snow Squalls Expected in Hamilton & Northern Niagara Region #ONstorm


Flurries that are moving into southern Ontario this morning are expected to intensify into snow squalls later this morning.


Snow squall warnings have been issued for the City of Hamilton, St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region, and Burlington - Oakville.


As snow squalls develop, snowfall amounts up to 25 cm or more will be possible today, with additional snowfall amounts up to 10 cm possible this evening. Conditions will improve as the snow winds down overnight.


These snow squalls will have a significant impact on travel.

Hamilton Flurries or snow squalls beginning this morning. Wind northeast 30 to 50 km/h. High minus 7.


Oakville Flurries or snow squalls beginning this morning. Wind northeast 30 to 40 km/h. High minus 7.


St. Catharines Flurries or snow squalls later in the day beginning this morning. Wind northeast 30 to 40 km/h. High minus 7.
