Heavy snow expected around Southern Ontario on Monday as a low pressure system tracks along the Great Lakes.
There are severe weather alerts for Toronto and Ottawa for Monday, heavy snowfall accumulation will occur and visibility will be altered. roads will not be favorable for commuting.
There are strong windchill effects across the region today as winds are gusty and blowing snow is in effect in Ottawa and Toronto as well. Temperatures are around -9 across Southern Ontario and sthere will be snowfall accumulation of about 30 - 50 cm in Ottawa and Toronto, and 5 - 10 cm around London and Sudbury. Winds are gusty up tp 30km/h across the region.
In then evening, it will be mostly cloudy with snow flurries and a snow squall watch in London, the low is -15 in Sudbury and Ottawa with a windchill of -23, there is a risk of frostbite. Winds are northwest gusting to 50 km/h in Toronto and Ottawa.
