A quick-moving low that is bringing snow to Nova Scotia today will also bring snow to eastern Newfoundland tonight.
Some schools were closed in Nova Scotia today due to poor weather conditions. 10 centimetres of snow is expected before it tapers off this afternoon.
For the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected.
Snow will begin this evening and continue through Friday morning. Early on Friday morning, there will be gusty winds which will cause reduced visibility during the morning commute.
