Snowstorm Forecast for the week


Hello folks,

Snowfall will cover the region in light to moderate amounts (5 - 20cm) by Thursday. and will continue until Christmas.

Weather advisory statements have been issued for Huntsville and Sudbury, snowfall accumulations will be 7 - 15 cm resulting from a low tracking across the Great Lakes tonight. Motorists should expect hazardous road and reduced visibility.


There are high wind chill factors across the region, temperatures will feel significantly colder than it is because of the moving air.


Today, it is mostly sunny in Ottawa, Toronto and Windsor while the rest of the cities will have some cloud cover and possible light flurries. The windchill factors are high today with Kenora having close to -30 degrees from windchill today.

Winds in the region are not to gusty, Kenora, Sudbury and Ottawa have winds up to 15km/h, Thunder Bay is northwest 20km/h gusting to 40 in the afternoon, Windsor is southwest 30 km/h by noon, London is south 20km/h, and Toronto is east 20km/h.


At night, Kenora has a low go -17 and a windchill of -28, Thunder bay is -19 with a windchill of -21 overnight, Sudbury is -8 with a windchill of -15, Windsor has a low of -3 and a windchill of -10. London is - with a windchill of -5 and Ottawa has a low of -6 and a windchill of -12 at night.



Wednesday is quite calm during the day, Windsor, Hamilton, Toronto will have a mix of cloud and sun with a high of -1, London, Goderich, Barrie and Ottawa will have some flurries and a high of -2, Huntsville has flurries and a high of -4, Kingston will be clear with a high of 0.


At night time Hamilton and Ottawa will be having snow flurries and Huntsville has a low of -14.

Weather advisory statements have been issued for Huntsville and Sudbury, snowfall accumulations will be 7 - 15 cm by Wednesday morning resulting from a low tracking across the Great Lakes tonight. Motorists should expect hazardous road and reduced visibility.




We are expecting some moderate snowfall accumulation by Thursday, there will be up to 15 cm accumulation north of the great lakes and 5 -10 cm in Southern Ontario.

Temperatures will be below freezing across the region, Windsor has a high of 2, London Hamilton and Toronto will be 0, Barrie, Kingston and Huntsville will have a high of -5 and Ottawa will be -9.

Snow is expected to continue with heavier accumulations (20-25 cm) by Saturday so it will be a snowy day in the region on Christmas.
