Snowy day across southern Ontario

It is going to be a snowy day across southern Ontario.

A low will bring snow to the region today. Snow will begin this morning over southwestern Ontario and will move eastward reaching eastern Ontario by this afternoon.

Generally, 2 to 5 cm of snow is expected, but for north of Lake Ontario and southern portions of southwestern Ontario and east towards Niagara, snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm is likely.

The snow will taper off tonight.

There is also the potential for snow squalls today for areas east of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

Snowfall amounts up to 25 cm are possible.

Driving conditions will be less than favourable due to reduced visibility and blowing snow.
