Sporadic influenza activity in many regions across Canada

Influenza levels remain stable and at interseasonal levels across Canada.
The Public Health Agency of Canada reports sporadic influenza activity in many regions across Canada.
From August 27 to October 28, 15 laboratory-confirmed influenza outbreaks have been reported.
There have been 72 influenza-associated hospitalizations from the dame dates. Adults aged 65 years of age and older accounted for 47 per cent of reported hospitalizations.
Areas seeing elevated activity of influenza are areas of central and southern Ontario and eastern Newfoundland.
