Spring officially arrives in the Northern Hemisphere on Thursday, March 19, at 11:50 pm EDT.


This spring is going to feature quite the temperature contrast across Canada and most areas will see a normal amount of precipitation. A city by city breakdown can be found below.


Typically in Canada spring arrives early on the west coast, with February seeing the arrival of tulips and temperatures on average staying above 0°C. Elsewhere in the country, spring weather arrives in late March and April and extends through to June.
