Storm continues across Eastern Canada



Ontario

Eastern and central Ontario and portions of the Golden Horseshoe will continue to see snow today. Additional snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible in eastern Ontario. Less snowfall is expected over central Ontario and eastern portions of Golden Horseshoe.


Quebec

Across Quebec, snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 centimetres is expected until this evening for Montreal and nearby areas. Winds will also gust to 70 km/h.


20 to 30 cm is expected for the Sherbrooke area. Areas along the south shore of the St. Lawrence River will see snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm along with wind gusts to 60 km/h.


Areas at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River along the north shore could see as much as 35 cm.


New Brunswick

Areas of northeastern New Brunswick will receive 15 to 30 cm this afternoon through Friday.

Most other areas of New Brunswick will receive 10 to 25 cm through Saturday.


Prince Edward Island

Potential snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm is possible and wind gusts to 70 km/h. Snow will start this afternoon and continue through to Friday morning.


Nova Scotia

Through Friday afternoon snowfall amounts of 5 to 20 cm is expected, with the higher amounts mainly inland and over higher terrain. Snow will begin late this afternoon across Cape Breton.


Winds will gust from 70 to 80 km/h. Stronger wind gusts are possible along the Atlantic coast this afternoon and southern areas of Nova Scotia.
