Storm impacting Nova Scotia and PEI, Newfoundland is next


A winter storm is impacting Nova Scotia and portions of Prince Edward Island.


Across eastern Nova Scotia, 15 to 20 cm of snow is expected. On Cape Breton Island some areas could see 30 cm.


For western Nova Scotia snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm is expected. Snow will end overnight.


Across central and eastern Prince Edward Island 5 to 10 cm of snowfall is expected. Snow will end this evening.


Parts of southwestern, central, and northeastern Newfoundland will see snow move in throughout the day and last until tomorrow morning. 15 to 25 cm of snow is expected. 10 to 20 cm of snow is expected for Corner Brook, Deer Lake, and Green Bay - White Bay.

About 20 mm of rain is expected for the Avalon Peninsula.


Marine Atlantic has cancelled crossings for tonight.
