An area of low pressure will push through Atlantic Canada beginning on Thursday afternoon.
A variety of weather is expected with this system, plus strong winds.
New Brunswick
Precipitation type: Snow for western sections, snow to ice pellets in the east.
Time frame: Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning.
Prince Edward Island
Precipitation type: Snow to ice pellets, risk of freezing rain.
Time frame: Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning.
Nova Scotia
Precipitation type: Snow to ice pellets to freezing rain to rain.
Time frame: Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning.
Newfoundland and Labrador
Precipitation type: Snow for the west coast. Snow changing to ice pellets then freezing rain to rain for the cental, south coast, and the Avalon.
Time frame: Friday morning to Saturday afternoon.
At this time, weather models are not in any sort of agreement on precipitation amounts. We will provide precipitation amounts on Thursday.
