Stormy Weather Closes Some NL Schools Again

The stormy weather in Newfoundland and Labrador continues. Snowfall warnings are in effect for the Bay of Exploits, Bonavista North, Gander and vicinity, Green Bay - White Bay, Northern Peninsula East, and Port Saunders and the Straits. There is a special weather statement thrown in for Grand Falls-Windsor and vicinity.

As a result, several schools in central and on the Northern Peninsula are either closed for the morning or closed all day.

Travel is not recommended on several routes this morning.

Snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are expected combined with winds gusting to 70 km/h today and tonight.
