Stormy Weather Continues in PEI, NS, & NL



A storm continues to impact Atlantic Canada.


For Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Prince Edward Island, and northwestern Nova Scotia, snow squalls are possible this afternoon and tonight.


There is a snowsquall watch in effect for:

  • Îles-de-la-Madeleine

  • Queens County P.E.I.

  • Kings County P.E.I.

  • Antigonish County

  • Inverness County - Mabou and north

  • Inverness County - south of Mabou

  • Pictou County

  • Victoria County


Newfoundland and Labrador is also taking a hit.


Heavy rain is falling along the southwest and parts of the west coast. 35 to 55 mm is possible by this afternoon.


In Rigolet, Upper Lake Melville, Eagle River snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm are expected today.
