It will bring rain to lower elevations and snow to mountain areas.
Strong winds are expected on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Rainfall amounts of 8 to 10 inches are possible and several feet of snow could accumulate through Wednesday night.
Along the central California coastline, flash flooding and debris flow from nearby burn scars will be a concern on Wednesday.
Road closures and travel delays are likely.
