Strong Earthquake Along the Thailand and Laos Border

Early on Thursday, there was a strong earthquake along the border of Thailand and Laos.

The earthquake measured as a 6.1 magnitude and struck 10 kilometres below the surface.

While there were no reports of damage, skyscrapers in Bangkok and Chiang Mai swayed back and forth.

The quake was also felt in Hanoi, Vietnam.

There were two smaller earthquakes that shook the area overnight.
