The low that brought snow to Newfoundland on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be located well to our northeast on Thursday and Friday.
Accompanying the low are very strong winds.
These winds will whip up some impressive waves along the north, east, and northeast coasts.
Wave heights of 5 to 7 metres are expected to hit the coast.
Some coastal flooding is possible. Do not go near the water a disproportionately large wave may appear without warning.
There will also be strong winds along these coastal areas.
