Summer 2020 Outlook


Summer arrives in the Northern Hemisphere on June 20th, 2020.


It looks like most of Eastern Canada will experience above normal temperatures Above normal temperatures are also expected across British Columbia and northern Canada. Temperatures across the Prairies will be above normal.


Precipitation will be near normal for most areas. A city breakdown of temperatures and precipitation can be found below.


El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) conditions are expected to remain neutral or trend toward La Nina. In Canada, La Niña will, in general, cause a cooler, snowier winter. During summer months, it may end up being cooler.
