Super Typhoon Halong spinning violently in the Northwest Pacific, the storm is one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded.


Halong is the strongest storm ever observed in the satellite era.


It is estimated that winds are near 320 km/h.


Winds that high make the storm equivalent to a category 5 hurricane.


The storm is not expected to pose any threat to land.
