The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn

If weather conditions allow tonight you can see quite a treat in the night sky.

NASA says what has become known popularly as the “Christmas Star” is an especially vibrant planetary conjunction easily visible in the evening sky over the next two weeks as the bright planets Jupiter and Saturn come together.

Both Jupiter and Saturn will be so close to each other that they may look like one star.

The last time the “Great Conjunction” happened was in 1623.

It has been nicknamed by some as the “Christmas Star,” due to its proximity to Christmas Day.

The best time to see it will be low in the southwest in the hour after sunset.
