A fast moving wildfire has prompted the community of Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan, to evacuate.
Nearly 4,000 people have been forced to flee areas of Northern Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency has issued a provincial fire ban, which includes all vacant Crown land, provincial parks located within the provincial forest, and the provincial forest, including the Northern Saskatchewan Administrative District.
The fire ban prohibits any open fires, controlled burns and fireworks in the designated boundary.
There are currently 17 active wildfires in Saskatchewan; of those, 10 are not contained.
