Thousands Trapped as Wildfires Rip Through Parts of Australia

Thousands of people are trapped on a beach in the East Gippsland region of Australia as wildfires grew exponentially.
Earlier this week residents were told to evacuate the area.
At least 12 people have died so far during the fire season in Australia.
About 4,000 people are trapped on the beach with flames edging ever so closer. The sky is filled with smoke.
Several homes have been destroyed.
Australia is experiencing a dangerous heatwave which is only aiding the fires.
