Thunderstorms Bring Hail & Heavy Rain to Central NL

It has been quite an active afternoon across central Newfoundland as thunderstorms moved through the area.

Earlier this morning numerous severe thunderstorm watches were issued. The watch implied that strong winds and heavy rain were possible.

Severe thunderstorm watches are in effect for:

25 mm of rain per hour and wind gusts to 90 km/h possible is the main threats.

As storms moved through there was heavy rain, strong wind gusts, and multiple reports of hail.

Thunderstorms are expected to continue through this evening.
