Tropical Cyclone Hits Fire-Ravaged Australia

Tropical Cyclone Blake has hit fire-ravaged Australia.

The western coast was hit with wind gusts to 100 km/h and rainfall amounts of 146 mm recorded.

There was no widespread damage with just a few trees reported to be down.

It brought some much-needed help to the western half of the country. Australia is in the midst of the worst fire season in recent memory.

The storm won't make it to the hardest-hit states, New South Wales and Victoria. To a lesser extent, there are fires burning in the western part of Australia.
