Tropical Depression Ten Eyes Florida

Tropical Depression Ten has formed near the Yucatan Channel. The storm has the potential to become a hurricane as early as Tuesday and could hit the west coast of Florida.

Exact impacts are unknown at this time, however, the storm is expected to deliver heavy rain to portions of the Gulf Coast and portions of the Southeast by mid-to-late next week.

Georiga, the Carolinas, and Virginia could see impacts from this storm.

Topical Depression Ten is expected to weaken to a tropical storm as it interacts with land on Wednesday and further weaken to a depression on Thursday.

The storm could eventually play a role in the weather in Atlantic Canada, but it's far too early to discuss specifics.

The next named storm will be Idalia.
