Tropical Storm Andres churning in eastern Pacific

The first named storm of the 2021 Eastern Pacific Hurricane Season has formed.

Tropical Storm Andres is located about 1000 km south of the southern tip of Baja California with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect and no land impacts are expected.

The storm is expected to weaken on Monday.
