Tsunami warning issued after earthquake in Greece


A tsunami warning has been issued for the Greek island of Crete after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck the area around noon local time.


The earthquake was centred 0.5 km south-southeast of Palekastro, Greece at a depth of 10 km.


Authorities are searching buildings on the popular holiday island. So far there have been no reports of injuries or serious damage.


The earthquake was also felt in Turkey, Egypt, and Libya.
